Truesdell Corporation is currently seeking a Structural Estimator/Project Manager to join our Western Region team based out of Tempe, Arizona to manage Structural Concrete Repair Projects. This candidate will be able to travel within Arizona and to other states in the western region for up to 2 weeks at a time, be a hard worker, dynamic leader and quickly able to manage multiple projects at one time. Our ideal candidate will be energetic, detail oriented and quickly able to switch gears, enjoy travel, working on bridges, power plants, water treatment plants, learning new skills, working with our fast-paced team and be excited about the opportunity to advance within our company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ability to travel up to 40% of the year regionally.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, nights and weekends when necessary.
  • The work setting is both office and project sites.
  • Demonstrate Safety first mindset.
  • Must be computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Experience with InEight/Hard Dollar is a plus.
  • Must be able to read and understand specs, drawings, and proposals
  • Utilize strong communication skills.
  • Perform all job responsibilities with attention to quality and detail.
  • Thrive in Leadership role.
  • Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelors or Associates Degree or Construction Management experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data that impacts cost of labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to maximize quality and accuracy of bid in a timely manner.
  • Review and compile “take-off” quantities, existing cost history, and calculations to ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in estimate and bid reviews with Business Development Manager to develop estimating skills.
  • Review drawings, specifications and proposed project site conditions.
  • Record findings and solicit input from field operations to include in final project estimate.
  • Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase competitiveness of the bid.
  • Coordinate all labor, materials, equipment, rentals, and subcontractors necessary to meet project demands and budgeted cost estimates to ensure the highest quality work is performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor, record and report the DPR (Daily Production Rate) for each job daily, ensuring that the DPR is achieved every day.
  • Understand and follow the Contract requirements.
  • Develop and update project schedules. Must be proficient with Excel.
  • Create and provide all documentation required from start-up to close-out including but not limited to submittals, material orders, RFI’s, traffic closures, daily logs, claims, change orders, letters etc.
  • Analyze and report project costs.
  • Maintain accurate job files, including all documentation, correspondence, and contract documents.
