REQUIREMENTS:
. 3 to 5 years experience as a structural designer in the corrugate or container industry.
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently adaptive to department demands and priorities.
· Familiarity with corrugation and converting processes and machine capabilities.
· Outstanding customer centric communication and written skills.
· Ability to take the lead with a high level of motivation to drive results and overcome ambiguity.
· Strong Organizational skills.
QUALIFICATION/ COMPETENCIES:
· Project management skills, desire to take responsibility for a project and see it through to completion
· Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills with strong ability to multi-task
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
· Detail oriented, organized, able to provide accurate information and work both independently as well as in a team environment
· Highly motivated and self-directed
· Be part of a team developing packaging from concept to production.
· Develop new or improve existing packaging for cost reduction, enhanced performance or innovation.
· Create packaging and display prototypes for presentation to customers.
· Design industry standard cartons.
· Produce samples, prototypes and small production runs. Define specifications.
· Conduct testing to ensure designs meet quality, statutory and regulatory standards
· Work with and coordinate with tooling suppliers and manufacturers.
· Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
· Microsoft Office applications, CAD, CAPE, Artios CAD, Esko, Adobe Illustrator and /or TOPPS and Konsburg cutting table.
· Accompany/support Sales Reps with some travel to Customer locations when required.
· Seek to build and enhance relationships and communication with Customers, Sales and Operation Teams to distill and convey technical knowledge.
