Description

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Experience of preparing design calculations and assessment calculations, drawings, reports and contract documents;
  • Able to successfully communicate with suppliers, clients, contractors, the public and other engineers within the company.
  • Responsible for client interaction and maintaining project schedules where required.
  • Familiar with Health & Safety, environmental and managerial procedures
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3 to 10+ years’ UK industry experience or equivalent
  • Chartered (CEng) or actively working toward Chartership with ICE or IStructE.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software such as TEDDS and Tekla Structural Designer for general building structures projects.
  • Take leadership roles in managing large projects as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of structural designs
  • Supervise and mentor younger engineers and teams as required, dependent on experience

FURTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • A valid driving license (essential).
  • Ability to obtain relevant security clearances
