REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Awareness to Local Authority Regulation applicable Abu Dhabi
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in Engineering Consultancy Companies
  • Experience with structural analysis software.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and inspect structural construction activities to ensure they meet the approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Ensure that construction works are executed as per the structural design, ensuring stability and safety.
  • Monitor the progress of structural works, identifying issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues on-site in collaboration with contractors, project managers, and design teams.
  • Ensure all structural works comply with UAE construction codes, standards (Abu Dhabi authorities), and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with the local authorities for inspections and approvals.
  • Review contractor’s shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements related to structural components.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and non-destructive testing to verify the integrity of structural works.
  • Identify and report defects or discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders (clients, architects, MEP teams, contractors) to ensure the structural work integrates smoothly with other disciplines.
  • Attend regular site meetings to discuss progress and address any structural issues.
  • Ensure that all structural works are carried out safely, complying with local health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor the site for any potential hazards and report unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed daily reports on site activities, issues, and progress.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports, ensuring that they are submitted to the client as required.
  • Document any structural changes or amendments to ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in resolving structural engineering issues that arise during construction.
  • Review and approve changes to structural elements or plans, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices.
  • Assist in the handover process, ensuring that all structural components are inspected and any defects are rectified.
  • Provide as-built documentation and support the completion of final inspections and certifications.
