We are seeking an experienced and skilled Structural Steel Detailer Draftsperson to join our team full-time. This is an in-office position located at our Melbourne office, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. You will be a key player in translating engineering designs into detailed, accurate shop drawings, ensuring the seamless fabrication and installation of structural steel.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven Expertise in Steel Detailing: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in structural steel detailing, specializing in Tekla Structures or Autodesk Advance Steel.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge in creating 3D models, shop drawings, and fabrication sequences.
• Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for detail and are committed to delivering high-precision work.
• Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach are essential.
• Site Experience: Willingness to participate in site visits and client meetings to ensure project success.
• Full-time, In-Office Role: Must be able to work from our office—no remote work is available.

  Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

• Produce Detailed Shop Drawings: Using Tekla Structures or Autodesk Advance Steel, you will create precise fabrication drawings for steel components, assemblies, and connections.
• Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure accuracy and smooth project execution.
• Client & Team Interaction: Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams to review progress and address any detailing challenges.
• Maintain Industry Standards: Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, codes, and company best practices.
• 3D Modelling: Develop 3D models of steel assemblies, performing clash detection and resolving any design issues before fabrication.
