Position: Structural Steel Fitter Location: Cocoa, FL Duration: Contract to Hire Shift: 1st Shift Pay Rate: Up to $25.00/hr. (Depending on experience) Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Fitter to join our team. The Fitter will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and preparing materials, and assembling structural steel components to precise specifications. This is a shop-based position with no travel required. \n Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements. Measure, cut, and prepare materials using hand tools and shop equipment. Fit, align, and assemble structural steel components according to project requirements. Use tools such as oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, drill press, angle press, jigs, tape measures, and squares. Inspect finished assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Requirements: Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fitter or in a similar role. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Skilled in measuring, cutting, aligning, and assembling steel components. Familiarity with shop tools and equipment such as torches, plasma cutters, and presses. Excellent attention to detail and precision. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Commitment to safety practices and procedures. \n
