Location: Shelbyville, KY Project Duration: 10 weeks/2.5 months Pay Rate: $30/hour (based on experience) Schedule: 40 Hours per Week Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Structural Mig and Stick welders for a shop job Shelbyville, KY. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, and performing welds using Mig and/or Stick welding process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans * Fit and assemble structural steel components according to specifications * Perform Mig and/or Stick welding to secure assemblies * Verify measurements, alignments, and tolerances for accuracy * Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment * Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines REQUIREMENTS * Previous experience as a Structural Welder in a shop * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings * Experience using common fabrication tools and measuring equipment * Must possess a 25-foot tape measure and needle-nose pliers * Ability to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance * Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check * Reliable transportation * Strong work ethic and commitment to safety BENEFITS * 401(k) * Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * Vision Insurance * Paid Time Off * Referral Program If you are an experienced Structural Welder looking for steady work, overtime opportunities, and a long-term project, apply today!
