Our client, Ringway Jacobs, a leading provider of integrated highways management services, is recruiting a Structures Engineer.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and delivery of structure replacement, refurbishment, and improvement projects across Essex. Drawing on expertise in structural design, the DMRB, MCHW, and Eurocodes, the successful candidate will provide innovative and high-quality solutions to complex highway structure challenges.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will work closely with the Team Leader and support junior staff, leveraging your background in highway structures and your proven track record of successful project delivery.
Reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing assigned schemes. This position requires strong teamwork skills and close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to build productive relationships and achieve shared objectives.

• Preparing design, plans, and programmes for highway structures works and services
• Providing clear and effective project leadership
• Assisting in the management and monitoring of works programmes or services
• Planning and delivering work safely in accordance with CDM and Health and Safety policy
• Mentoring junior staff and checking their work
