Company Description Kenn Borek Air (KBA) is a diversified worldwide aircraft charter and leasing operation. The KBA Maintenance team is currently seeking an individual to join the Structures team in the role of Structures Technician. Opportunity for overtime through project based weekend hours. Job Description The Structures Technician is responsible for all aeronautical product repair or overhaul assigned; for the standards of their work, and that all work performed is in accordance with the requirements of the Company MCM, and the Canadian Aviation Regulations. The Structures Technician is skilled in metal and composite repair. Major Responsibilities of the Role: Shall ensure that all maintenance activities carried out are accomplished in strict conformity with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and Standards, and Company Policies and Procedures Responsible for ensuring accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on aircraft Shall provide guidance to Structures Shop Trainees and apprentices for which they are assigned in order to guide the trainee in his / her duties and to ensure that they comply with all applicable requirements of the Company MCM and the Canadian Aviation Regulation Shall identify and recommend to the Structures Shop Manager improvements and/or necessary changes to the shop component work sheets, or to any shop standards or procedures Shall inform the Structures Shop Manager of any defective tooling and recommend new tooling or enhancements to present tooling as required Shall inspect aircraft structures and related components Shall fabricate, maintain and repair aircraft parts and compounds as well as aircraft hull and frame Shall inspect and certify aircraft and aeronautical products on behalf of the organization in accordance with their applicable Company Certification Authorization Shall, in a courteous and professional manner work with customers, vendors and coworkers to ensure a safe and efficient operation Shall ensure that all shop areas are kept clean, orderly, and organized Shall carry out any other task as assigned by the Structures Shop Manager Qualifications Transport Canada certified AME-S license preferred Minimum 3 years experience DHC-6 and/or DC-3T experience preferred Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings and technical instructions Must be familiar with a variety of hand tools, and sheet-metal equipment Additional Information Kenn Borek Air offers a comprehensive employment package containing competitive wages, excellent company funded benefits program, a wellness flexible spending account and a RRSP matching program.
