Overview At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details. Responsibilities Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests Qualifications Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift Can reach, bend, stoop frequently Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs Ability to speak, read and write English Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes Benefits Five (5) Day Work Week Paid Vacation: One Week after Year One, Two Weeks after Two Years, and Three Weeks after Ten Years Health Insurance – Medical & Dental Programs Available 401K Plan – Immediate Eligibility.
