Description Job ID SC9980-3012-1916 Position Classification FT Staff UDMPSSA (formerly MEA) Position Summary The general purpose of this job is to provide excellent service to students, parents, colleagues from other departments, and third party payer representatives as well as assisting with student account receivable aging analysis, invoicing and tax form preparation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process payments Prepare daily deposits Process petty cash transactions Respond to student, parent, colleague, or company inquiries via phone or email Post or remove miscellaneous fees to/from student accounts Distribute mail Prepare refund checks for mailing Create contracts Invoice companies Reconcile accounts quarterly Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Qualifications Education – A high School Diploma or GED. Experience – Six month to two year (Equivalent combination of education and employment). Preferred Qualifications Six months to two years required. Experience in higher education preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Skillful cash handling abilities, basic accounting knowledge, basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, basic knowledge of higher education processes, ability to multitask, and ability to perform basic office functions and use office equipment. Physical Requirements Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds). Work Environment Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
