We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Providing academic advising, training and support to students, especially those with special educational needs; Providing student support to ensure students with reasonable accommodation in learning; Organising local and overseas exchange and other student activities; Enhancing academic support and serving as Class Mentor; Implementing scholarship programme; Assisting with student admission, organization of workshop and conferences; Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School of Science and Technology or his / her nominee(s). Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A higher degree in any discipline; Relevant qualifications and experience in student advising, particularly with students who have special educational needs; Sound knowledge and experience in managing students' mental distress and facilitating their personal development; Sound knowledge of techniques to address learning difficulties, and with the ability to deliver specialised instruction to address student needs; Strong sense of responsibility, effective organisation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently under pressure; and Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
