Student Career Advisor
We are working with a leading oil company that is looking for an experienced student advisor to support their company sponsored students from their new student centre in Manchester. The key focus of the role is to support UK and European based students with their academic, professional and personal development.
On a day-to-day basis you’ll be involved with:
· Conducting orientation sessions for new students
· Providing guidance and mentoring to students, assisting them with career paths and more
· Recommending personal and professional development opportunities
· Working closely with Universities across the UK and Europe
· Liaising with university admission teams, assisting with student applications, placements and development programs
· Updating student records and databases
· Providing regular reporting on student performance and progress
· Highlighting any changes in academic policies and developments, alerting the company and students as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a student development capacity previously, have a thorough understanding of higher education and be a natural mentor.
This is initially a one-year contract, with a view to extend and move to permanent payroll, offering a rate equivalent to £30 - 50,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. You will be required to work from the office daily but the company work a 9 day fortnight, meaning every other Friday is a non-working day. Please note hybrid working is not offered.
