We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Student Affairs Office: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Leading the First Year Experience (FYE) Programme: Serving as the primary architect and manager of the university-wide FYE initiative, championing holistic student development. Designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing projects and activities that foster student engagement, belonging, and a smooth transition into university life; Advancing Assessment, Enhancement, Operational Excellence, and Outreach: Driving a culture of continuous improvement by integrating assessment, quality assurance, and communication strategies across all SAO programmes. Developing and managing performance indicators and evaluation frameworks to measure effectiveness, guiding strategic planning, and enhancing service quality. Using data-driven insights to refine operations, strengthen outreach efforts, and ensure that communication initiatives effectively showcase the value and impact of Student Affairs to the university community. Supporting staff in adopting evidence-based practices and streamlined processes that promote collaboration, efficiency, and the sustained advancement of SAO initiatives; Coordinating Global Learning Experiences: Overseeing the planning and execution of global learning opportunities that enrich student development. Collaborating with academic departments, administrative units, and external partners to deliver impactful and accessible international experiences for students; and Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Affairs or his/her designee to support the strategic mission of the Office. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant and solid work experience; Flexible work attitude, including a willingness to work weekends and evenings to support student development initiatives. Passionate about shaping transformative student experiences and driving excellence in higher education; Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills in business-level English and Chinese (including Mandarin), both written and spoken; Ability to build initiatives from the ground up and manage multiple tasks, comfortable working in a dynamic environment to deliver solid results; A high degree of self-motivation, ownership and organisation; a problem solver capable of working independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders; and Remain current with emerging trends and best practices in student affairs assessment, quality assurance, and global learning within higher education.
