We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Student Affairs Office: Major Duties and Responsibilities: The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Providing administrative support to the daily operations of the University’s student hall, including but not limited to admission, check-in/-out arrangements, room allocation, and maintenance of resident records; Supporting the Live-in Management in implementing the residential education model, including coordination of duty rosters, activity logistics, and communication with the Student Affairs Office; Coordinating residential education programmes and activities, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that promote personal growth, intercultural learning, and a sense of belonging among residents; Coordinating and supporting the relevant committees and their meetings; Liaising with internal and external parties, such as the hostel management service operator, to ensure the smooth operation of MU88; Assisting in monitoring compliance with Rules and Regulations, supporting the handling of disciplinary matters, and maintaining accurate case records; Supporting the SAO’s broader mission of promoting diversity, inclusion, and non-local student support; Providing guidance and administrative support to the operation and development of student societies; and Performing any other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Affairs or his/her delegate(s). The appointee will be required to work regularly at both the campus in Ho Man Tin and MU88 in Hung Hom. Work outside normal office hours is expected when necessary. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ post-qualification working experience, preferably in residential hall management, hotel/property management or student services; Applicants who are new to the tertiary education sector/ student affairs area are welcome, but relevant work experience is preferred; A genuine interest in working with students in a multicultural setting; High computer literacy; excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills in English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is highly desirable; and A high level of self-motivation and sense of ownership, fast learning ability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Student Affairs Officer. Candidates may be invited to attend a written test and interview.
