Medical School – University of Queensland Full-time, permanent position Base salary will be in the range $83,776 - $93,121 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5) Based at our Herston Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a motivated, energetic and highly organised Student and Academic Administration Officer to join the Medical School. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, student-centred services, providing clear, accurate and timely advice to students, academic and professional staff. As a key member of a collaborative and purpose-driven team, you will manage a diverse range of administrative processes, resolve day-to-day enquiries, and contribute to the effective operation and continuous improvement of administrative systems. Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Deliver accurate, timely advice and support to students, staff and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with University policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage enquiries and administrative processes across multiple systems (e.g. CRM and corporate platforms), including application processing, data management and issue resolution. Coordinate end-to-end course and program administration, including timetabling, assessment and examination support, candidate management, and results processing. Contribute to effective program operations by supporting communications, committee activities and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and service delivery. This position is primarily based at Herston; however, periodic travel to St Lucia is required. Demonstrated understanding of student and academic administration processes, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge. Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands and meet deadlines. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in administrative and written work. Strong initiative with the ability to work both autonomously and exercise sound judgment. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across organisational units and deliver high-quality customer service. Experience in tertiary or large organisations and familiarity with student systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, SI-Net, CRM platforms) highly regarded.
