The California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) is seeking to hire student assistants for an opportunity to support the Disability and Survivor Benefits (DaSB) division in analyzing and applying CalSTRS laws, policies, and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be dependable, punctual, flexible, and able to follow directions.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with various levels of staff.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a good attendance record.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth or a formerly incarcerated youth as defined by Government Code section 18220 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority.
