Length of Appointment: Sept 4 – Dec 31, 2026 with possibility for further extension based upon need and budget

Duties:

• Attend classes with assigned student(s) and provide accommodation-related support
• Take accurate and comprehensive notes for assigned student(s)
• Organize and attend regular sessions with assigned student(s) to provide support with academic tasks, including scribing assignments, essays, tests/exams
• Maintain confidentiality of student information
• Work flexible hours that correspond to student schedules, including evenings and weekends
• Assist proctoring tests and examinations in the SAS Test Centre according to established procedures
• Attend training and communicate regularly with the supervisor; and other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

• Demonstrated sound judgment and critical thinking skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
• Ability to identify and record essential lecture content accurately and effectively
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and general computer applications
• Successful completion of at least two years of post-secondary education
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or in an educational settings is considered an asset;
