Description

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is looking for multiple motivated students who are willing to assist the Law Enforcement Division. Working with Law Enforcement Assistant Chiefs, Staff Services Managers and headquarters analysts on a wide variety of administrative tasks. Daily duties could be evidence record keeping and maintenance, answering phone calls and sending written and electronic correspondence, records look up, general vehicle and vessel maintenance, transporting and coordinating with maintenance and repair contractors, invoicing, processing incoming and outgoing mail. Employees may also have the opportunity to assist Law Enforcement staff with enforcement and non-enforcement related projects.

Working Conditions
Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings; work with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Occasional travel may be required (5%). Applicant should possess a valid Driver’s license.
