POSITION SUMMARY

Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant positions in Financial Aid.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible with strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable managing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented office.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Greet students, staff, and visitors and provide excellent front-line customer service.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, copying, and data entry of financial aid and scholarship documents.
  • Help prepare communications, mailings, and informational materials for students.
  • Provide general information about financial aid and scholarship processes (training provided).
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA regulations.
  • Support special projects, workshops, or events hosted by the office.
  • Other duties as assigned.
