Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The student assistant will be a member of a small team in the Berlin office, collaborating with diverse and multicultural teams across the Copenhagen headquarters, the regional hubs in Amman, Nairobi and Dakar and relevant country offices. The student assistant will support the DRC Senior Partnership Advisor in maintaining close and trusted relationships with institutional donors supporting our ongoing programs, stay abreast of changes and shifts in their strategies and support with sharing this knowledge within the wider DRC network.

The tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Information gathering about relevant compliance rules and regulations
  • Supporting with updating relevant knowledge sharing tools and the development of new tools
  • Supporting with reviewing donor concept notes, proposals and reports
  • Helping organise meetings and events between DRC colleagues and external stakeholders, as well as the development of presentations and meeting minutes
  • Assist in day-to-day administrative and financial tasks
  • Supporting with any other tasks related to the mandate of DRC Germany

The student assistant should be able to meet the following requirements:

  • Be proficient in the use of Office 365.
  • Have an interest in donor relations, fundraising, donor engagement, donor compliance and/or how NGOs fund their operations.
  • Interest in learning more about working in an international NGO.
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Be able to work systematically with a good structure for the tasks that you are responsible for
