ERWARTETE QUALIFIKATIONEN

You are a Bachelor or Master student, enrolled at a German university, and ideally meet the following requirements:

  • You have a background in economics, environmental sciences, public policy, quantitative social sciences, psychology, or related fields;
  • You are able to read and understand scientific literature;
  • You are eager to learn;
  • You are able to work independently and as part of a team and can deliver outputs along pre-defined timelines.

Additionally:

  • Previous experience in policy impact evaluation, systematic reviews, or evidence synthesis is an asset;
  • Knowledge in statistical software (e.g., R, STATA, or Python) is an asset;
  • A sound understanding of econometrics, meta-analysis techniques, causal inference and quasi-experimental methods is a strong asset;
  • Familiarity with reference management tools (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley) and systematic review tools (e.g., EPPI, Covidence) is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Support a systematic review and meta-analysis of quantitative ex-post evaluation literature in climate policy;
  • Conduct structured searches using academic databases (e.g. Scopus, Web of Science);
  • Identify, screen, and select relevant academic and policy literature;
  • Extract, code, and standardize data from selected studies;
  • Manage and organize data from multiple sources;
  • Learn and apply critical appraisal techniques to assess study quality;
  • Assist in synthesizing findings, including basic statistical analysis and visual representation of results;
  • Contribute to manuscript writing and documentation;
  • Provide general support for the daily operations of the Evidence for Climate Solutions Group
