QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Considerable advanced skills and judgment
  • Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including excellent listening
  • Ability to extract essential components of lectures for note-taking purposes
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, punctual, organized and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated success in post-secondary education
  • Willingness to work flexible hours that correspond to student schedules, including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and computers
  • Previous experience working with individuals with a disability is an asset
  • Preference given to current Brandon University student; with enrollment in graduate program or holding a graduate
    degree
Responsibilities

Services is seeking an Academic Attendant to perform the following duties:

  • Attend classes with assigned student(s);
  • Take notes for assigned student(s);
  • Organize and attend regularly scheduled;
  • Work with assigned student(s) on academic-related tasks including scribing assignments, essays, tests/exams;
  • Uphold and maintain confidentiality;
  • Assist with proctoring in the Test Centre;
  • Attend training and communicate regularly with the supervisor; and other relevant duties as assigned.
