QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Considerable advanced skills and judgment
• Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills and self-motivated
• Basic math skillsEDUCATION:1. Preference given to current Brandon University Music student; with enrolment in graduateprogram or holding a graduate degree2. Specific courses related to the given department/faculty in which the job is needed whenindicated in the posting3. Strong academic standing

• Maintain regular contact with the Jazz area ensemble directors and instructors.
• Assist with organization of studio materials and arranging repertoire.
• Assist with research related to delivery of studio instruction.
• Assist with coaching and assessment of techniques as required.
• Assist students with performance practice, skill-building, technique development and equipment in-between lessons.
• Assist with preparation for the BU jazz festival
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
