The Office of the President and Vice Presidents of Justus-Liebig University Giessen (JLU) / Alumni Service is seeking a

FOR THE UNIVERSITY NETWORK “UKRAINE IN EUROPE” PROJECT

(35 hours/month from October 2025 to December 2025, - 15 hours/month from January 2026 to December 2026)
The position will focus on building a German-Ukrainian alumni network as part of the University network “Ukraine in Europe”. The position is available from October 2025.
The Alumni Service of JLU coordinates activities and events for former students and staff of the university. It also supports other actors at JLU (e.g., departments, alumni associations) in their alumni activities.
The project “University Network ‘Ukraine in Europe‘ “ - funded by the DAAD from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space - aims to sustainably expand a German-Ukrainian university network between the JLU Gießen and its partner universities in Ukraine (National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) and the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ (KPI)) with a focus on social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences (chemistry). A joint alumni network is also to be established for this purpose

For these tasks, we need help and are looking for a student assistant for the following activities:

• Participation in the development and implementation of communication and event formats for the alumni network
• Support in general tasks and events of the central Alumni Service
