Job Title: Student Assistant - Part-time Department: Ambulatory Services | Sports Medicine Physical Therapy Crane-JM The Student Assistant assists in the treatment of patients as needed during the week on a scheduled basis. Duties relating to the routine operation of the rehabilitation department, including departmental cleanliness, maintenance, patient transportation, and clerical and non-patient care tasks may also be responsibilities of the Student Assistant. This position works under the direct supervision of the Rehab Manager. Additional Information: The Student Assistant is a temporary student position. This is a team member responsible for assisting staff physical/occupational therapists in their treatment of assigned patients. All patient care duties performed require supervision by a therapist. He/she is a member of the Outpatient Rehab Department and is an important assistive component of the interdisciplinary medical team that strives to return the patient to his/her highest level of functional independence.
