Description
The Novo Nordisk Foundation is looking for a curious and motivated student to join our Public Affairs team. As a Student Assistant, you will work at the intersection of policy, advocacy, and external engagement, supporting the Novo Nordisk Foundation and Novo Holdings on issues ranging from public health and sustainability to the future of science. In this role, you will, among other things, help conduct policy research and prepare high-quality briefing materials to support senior leadership activities across Denmark, the EU, and globally. The job As a Student Assistant, your key tasks will include: Monitoring Danish policy developments and conducting research on parliamentary activities Supporting the identification, development, and maintenance of relationships with relevant international stakeholders Assisting with developing policy briefs, position papers, and consultation responses Preparing background materials for executive external engagements (e.g. Ministerial meetings, Folkemødet, UN General Assembly, COP, World Economic Forum) Monitoring EU policy developments in areas relevant to the foundation and Novo Holdings Preparing and refining PowerPoint presentations as well as developing speaking notes and briefings for management Assisting with event organisation, execution and post-event follow-up. The position is based in our headquarters in Hellerup. The expected working hours are between 14–20 hours per week, with flexibility during exam periods and between semesters. You will join our Public Affairs team of eight colleagues based in Denmark and Brussels. We offer a dynamic, high-performing work environment where engagement and initiative are valued. We are looking for a candidate who: Is currently enrolled in a relevant degree programme (e.g. political science, communications, journalism, or similar), ideally in the final year of a bachelor’s or beginning of a master’s degree, with at least two years of studies remaining Has an interest in public affairs, advocacy, and policy - preferably with some practical experience Possesses strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a structured working style Can work independently and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic environment Has an interest in science, health, sustainability and business, and is motivated to work in a philanthropic organisation As a person you are proactive, take ownership of your tasks, and communicate clearly. You are curious and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting, and you thrive in a collaborative environment that value trust and autonomy.
