Morris Jeff Community School is seeking a Student Attendance and Front Office Manager. This position entails performing two roles, each half-time comprising a daily full-time position. This position will work at our Elementary School campus.

Responsibilities
  • Track all daily student attendance, contact families according to the attendance requirements of the school, prepare and send notices to families as needed in the attendance tracking process, refer to counselors and principal as required for truancy cases
  • Communicate attendance tracking to teachers, counselors, and principal as needed
  • Monitor teachers’ attendance tracking, ensuring attendance is submitted timely (and by class period in grades required
  • Greet students, staff, families, and visitors in a welcoming manner when they enter the office
  • Exhibit patience, respect, and tolerance for all questions
  • Perform and oversee all secretarial routines and practices associated with an efficient, productive, and well-managed office
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date filing system and process all records and incoming correspondence as required
  • Coordinate school mailings
  • Assist in the student registration process
  • Address the needs of parents, students, and visitors who enter or call the office for information.
  • Enter and update student information into various databases, including demographics, tardies, and attendance
  • Coordinate sending and receiving student records requests
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of school events, policies, and procedures to assist parents, families, and students adequately
  • Serve as a backup for the school nurse when absent for student medication administration
  • Complete any other duties assigned by the school principal
