Description The Facilities Student Employment supports the Facilities Department in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional campus environment during the summer months. This position assists with a variety of tasks including groundskeeping, light maintenance, painting, and general campus upkeep. Essential Job Responsibilities: Assist with campus grounds maintenance (mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, etc.) Support custodial tasks such as cleaning common areas, residence halls, and offices Help with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies across campus Perform basic maintenance tasks (painting, minor repairs, preventative upkeep) Collect and dispose of trash Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or maintenance issues Provide general support to Facilities staff as needed Other Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Current college student at SMWC & enrolled for fall ‘26 Must be in foo standing financially with the College Must work 20 hours per week and will be housed in the Lake House on campus Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Willingness to learn and follow instructions Positive attitude and strong work ethic Working Conditions: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions May require early mornings, occasional evenings, or weekend hours

Responsibilities

The role supports the Facilities Department by performing grounds maintenance, custodial tasks, and general campus upkeep. Responsibilities also include moving equipment, performing minor repairs, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
