RVA is looking for an Engineering Technologist student for a 4-month work term in their London office. The position will start in May 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be enrolled in a Civil Engineering/Technologist program.
  • Some experience with surveying equipment including GNSS receivers.
  • Able to be trained in Confined Space Entry procedures and undertake man-entry inspections into sewers and tunnels as required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, Access and AutoCAD/Civil3D.
  • Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
  • A valid G driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of municipal rehabilitation projects for linear infrastructure projects and urban development projects.
  • Help in doing design calculations and writing technical reports.
  • Assist in plan/profile design and drawings for linear infrastructure projects.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare meeting minutes as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender specifications for projects.
  • Work alongside the team in the field to gather data for projects using data collectors and survey with portable GIS equipment.
  • Other duties as required as per this position.
