This position will be part of our 2026 Summer Internship Program. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience with a growing North American engineering consulting firm. The Student Engineering Intern-Solid Waste position involves work tasks that support planning, design, and construction of various engineering projects. Interdisciplinary work with environmental science staff is also anticipated. Additional responsibilities include: Provides broad support for the RESPEC Pennsylvania-based engineering team Conducts field work, and collects data on existing conditions Assists staff with engineering calculations and reports Support documentation for new designs (product, material, and testing specifications) Conducts support functions as needed, such as data entry and file management Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental or geotechnical engineering or related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent research and analytical skills Motivated and positive self-starter, able to work independently and in a team Flexibility and desire to gain experience on a wide variety of technical projects Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Introductory (or higher) AutoCAD skills preferred Additional Information Compensation: Hourly wage depends on education and experience, plus statutory insurance requirements.
