POSITION SUMMARY

The Student Enrollment Advisor is responsible for advancing the university’s enrollment and student success objectives. This position combines admissions counseling with onboarding coordination, ensuring prospective students receive high-touch, results-driven support from initial inquiry through their first day on campus. The role requires a consistent on-campus presence, with some local travel to schools and businesses as part of outreach and recruitment efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.
  • 13 years of experience in admissions, recruiting, institutional knowledge, or studentfacing enrollment services preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance or recruitment goals, with a proven track record of achieving metrics on a regular basis.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills across multiple platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a large caseload independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, data entry, and task tracking.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced, goaloriented environment while maintaining a studentfirst approach.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally to schools and businesses as part of recruitment and outreach activities.
  • Oncampus presence required; this is not a remote position.
  • Ability to work independently, yet within a strong team environment

Responsibilities
  • Actively recruit and convert prospective students by managing a defined caseload, with clear performance targets for applications, deposits, and enrollments that must be met on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Conduct daily personalized outreach via phone, text, email, and virtual meetings to prospective students and their families.
  • Represent the university at high school visits, community events, college fairs, and virtual recruiting activities, including local travel as needed.
  • Achieve individual recruitment and enrollment goals as set by the Lead Advisor and/or Executive Director, with regular progress reviews.
  • Maintain detailed student records and contact logs in the university’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with marketing and event staff to coordinate outreach campaigns, social media engagement, and campus visit participation.
  • Engage in evening and weekend outreach efforts, especially during peak recruitment and yield periods, to meet prospective students and their families when they are most available.
  • Serve as a case manager for admitted students, ensuring timely completion of all onboarding tasks (e.g., final transcripts, immunization records, FAFSA verification, housing contracts, etc.).
  • Track student progress toward firstday readiness and intervene promptly when delays occur.
  • Educate students on academic placement, advising, registration, and orientation requirements.
  • Liaise with Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Life to resolve onboarding holds and improve yield.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Lead Advisor on caseload status, deposit yield, onboarding completion rates, and conversion forecasts.
