Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking an Administrator – Ngā Tauira Māori (NTM) to join our Student Engagement team within Student and Scholarly Services. In this role, you will provide administrative and financial support for a range of student initiatives that contribute to student engagement and achievement, including: University of Auckland Student Orientation. NTM hui such as KatchaMāori, Māori Graduation Celebrations (Autumn and Spring), Haerenga, Māori Day, Study Wānanga, and NTM Kapa Haka. You will also support wider student group administration, including room bookings, event coordination, and club registration processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting Māori student success and engagement through meaningful initiatives and cultural connection. This is a permanent, part-time (18.75 hours per week) opportunity. The salary range for this role is $55,300 - $69,600 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. He kōrero mōu | About you You will bring a strong sense of organisation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to Māori student development. You will also have: A tertiary qualification or be working towards one. Experience in administration or a similar role. Knowledge of Ngā Tauira Māori (NTM) and their community. Experience working with Tauira Māori, preferably in a tertiary environment. Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently. Adequate financial administration experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Confidence in Te Reo Māori and English, with an understanding of Tikanga Māori. Experience in the New Zealand tertiary sector and an understanding of the student lifecycle would be advantageous. This includes libraries, learning support, student hubs, student engagement and wellbeing services, and academic services that ensure an excellent student experience. You will be part of the Student Engagement team, working closely with Ngā Tauira Māori, He Āhuru Mōwai, and the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Māori).
