SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Student Health Officer is responsible for promoting and protecting the health and well-being of students through health education, preventive services, and direct support. This role ensures that students have access to appropriate health resources, coordinates health-related programs, and supports institutional responses to public health concerns on campus

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Associate’s degree in Medical Emergencies.
• Current certification/licensure (e.g., RN, LPN, CHES) if applicable.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in health services, ideally within an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of adolescent and young adult health issues.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish)
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Training in first aid.
• Familiarity with Title IX, ADA, and health privacy regulations
