ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the PowerCo Canada team during an exciting period of growth and transformation. As an HR Data Analyst Co-op Student, you will support our People & Culture team by turning HR data into insights that directly shape how we hire, onboard, relocate, and support our growing workforce.
Approximately 80-85% of your time will focus on supporting our Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Relocation teams through reporting, dashboard creation, and operational analysis. The remaining 15-20% of your time will be spent assisting HR Business Services and the Compensation & Benefits team with various data and project tasks.
You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to change management and process improvement initiatives and may support occasional light administrative tasks to help keep our HR systems and operations running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity to work in a startup-like environment within a global organization that is building Canada’s first Gigafactory and reshaping the future of sustainable energy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain Excel dashboards to visualize key metrics such as hiring activity, onboarding progress, and relocation trends. Support data collection and reporting for recruiting, time-to-fill, pipeline health, offer tracking, and new hire metrics.
  • Track relocation activity and assist with reporting on mobility costs and movement patterns.
  • Prepare both regular and ad hoc reports and presentations and maintain spreadsheets, forms, and templates to support recruiting activities and data management. Collect and analyze data on KPI’s, hiring trends etc.
  • Participate in process documentation and help identify ways to streamline or improve data flows.
  • Analyze and consolidate people, recruitment, retention and diversity data using advanced techniques to uncover trends and predictive insights. Develop and deliver dashboards, reports, and visualizations on key HR metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in change management or process optimization initiatives by providing insights or supporting implementation steps.
  • Provide occasional administrative support, such as updating tracking sheets, compiling documentation, or supporting HR meetings.
  • Support general HR data audits, headcount reporting, and HRIS updates.
