Overview The HSHP Dean’s Office Student Assistant for Marketing and Social Media will support the Dean's Office Administrative Team and departments of the school of HSHP by managing social media and assisting with a variety administrative and operational tasks. They will cover the reception desk during business hours, answer phones, and complete projects as needed. Job Reports To Brooke Ashton, Assistant to the Dean, HSHP Hours and Pay Rate Hiring 1 or 2 students for a total of 20 hours/week. Shifts are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. $15.50 per hour. Length of Employment Fall Semester 2025 with the option to extend. Tasks & Work Requirements Social Media & Marketing Tasks - 80% Create and post social media content using Canva and other graphic editing tools. Prepare marketing materials as requested. Attend and participate in weekly meetings with the Dean and other Marketing team members. Reception Tasks - 10% Cover the reception desk. Greet students and visitors--provide excellent customer service. Answer the phone, transfer calls, take messages. Office Tasks - 10% Deliver mail and packages. Create and maintain spreadsheets. Provide miscellaneous administrative and operational support to the Dean's Office Administrative Team. Qualifications Must be a currently enrolled student at Ithaca College. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel (training can be provided). Ability to work independently on projects, successfully managing your time and stakeholder communications. Maintain confidentiality of any/all student and employee information. Ability and willingness to be flexible and adaptive. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift 40 pounds comfortably. Be organized and attentive to detail.
Responsibilities
