Calgary Co-op is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Student / HR Intern to join our CORE HR team for a term position. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations while supporting employees and leaders across the organization. You will work within established HR processes and collaborate with experienced HR professionals.   Key Responsibilities * Administer the employee onboarding process, for three business unit processes  * Respond to routine employee inquiries related to benefits, using established resources and a comprehensive FAQ  * Prepare employment verification letters in a timely and accurate manner  * Track and maintain records related to long service awards and employee milestones  * Draft and process employee letters, including internal movement (transfers, promotions) documentation  * Prepare lawyer-requested employment letters and supporting materials in accordance with company policies  * Ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with established procedures and standards  * Escalate complex or sensitive issues to senior HR team members as appropriate  * Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.   Qualifications * Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field  * Completed the second year of program * Previous work experience in any field required * Previous HR work term experience an asset * Campus or student program leadership experience an asset * Consistent volunteer experience an asset   Skills & Capabilities * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  * Excellent written and verbal communication abilities  * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion  * Comfortable following structured processes and procedures  * Customer-service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving  * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HR systems is an asset    What You’ll Gain * Practical experience in HR operations and employee lifecycle processes  * Exposure to benefits administration and employee communications  * Opportunity to work with experienced HR professionals and build your professional network  * Insight into corporate HR practices and policies
