QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of direct, hands-on experience as a PowerSchool Administrator or a similar role in a K-12 educational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proficiency in PowerSchool or comparable Student Information Systems (SIS), including state data reporting requirements. Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage and protect sensitive student information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity. Skilled in troubleshooting and providing technical support. Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across multiple schools. Dedicated to accuracy, compliance, and providing high-quality, service-oriented support. Demonstrated professionalism through consistent attendance, punctuality, adherence to school policies/procedures, and strong employability skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects.

Responsibilities
  • (1) Manage the daily operation, configuration, and security of the PowerSchool and suite of products, including user accounts, roles, and access permissions for staff, students, and parents
  • (2) Perform annual system setup, including school year rollover, calendar creation, and grade/attendance period setup
  • (3) Install and configure plug-ins, patches, reports and customizations to enhance system functionality
  • (4) Oversee the entire student enrollment and registration process, from new student applications to data import
  • (5) Assist all schools/parents with new and and returning school enrollment over the summer
  • (6) Ensure the seamless and accurate transfer of data from the platforms
  • (7) Provide guidance and support to families and school staff during the registration period
  • (8) Process schools new and existing enrollments in the summer time.
  • (9) Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all student data, including enrollment, attendance, grades, demographics, and contact information
  • (10) Oversee the import and export of data between PowerSchool and other integrated systems (e.g., state reporting systems, learning management systems)
  • (11) Generate and prepare a variety of reports for administrators and staff, including state and federal compliance reports.
  • (12) Conduct data audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • (13) Serve as the primary point of contact for all PowerSchool-related technical support requests from staff, students, and parents
  • (14) Provide one-on-one and group training sessions for new and existing users on system functionality, best practices, and new features
  • (15) Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials for various stakeholders
  • (16) Assist with the creation and management of master schedules for all grade levels
  • (17) Support teachers in the use of PowerTeacher Pro for gradebook management, attendance, and progress reporting.
  • (18) Manage and configure grade scales, report cards, and honor roll calculations
  • (19) Oversee end-of-year processes, including report card printing and archiving
  • (20) Communicate system updates, downtime
  • (21) Collaborate with PowerSchool customer support to resolve complex technical issues
  • (22) Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position
