Description
Key Responsibilities 1. Responsible for compiling all the existing and new Health & Safety Procedures, Code of Practice and other relevant documents into the first campus Health & Safety Manual and support the development of the new campus H&S Handbook – this include making it accessible in the Malaysia campus Health & Safety Sharepoint. 2. Develop Health & Safety promotional short videos and script writing, based on specific themes from Health & Safety risk assessment findings, actual accidents/ first aid cases and Health & Safety inspection results, through collaboration with Heriot-Watt University Malaysia Student Association (HWUMSA), Malaysia Campus Health & Safety Committee (MCHSC) members and other stakeholders.  3. Monthly inspection of all First aid boxes & replenishment of the items at the campus. Cleaning, checking and simple maintenance of all other Emergency Response Team (ERT) equipment/ instruments to ensure they are in good functioning conditions especially during campus Emergencies.  4. Assist campus Health & Safety staff in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) programme activities eg. Training, Fire drills etc. in coordination with campus ERT Leaders, Human Resource (HR) Training/ Professional & Organizational Development (POD) and external agencies (BOMBA, St John Ambulance and other Emergency Services providers).
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for compiling and developing campus Health & Safety Manuals and Handbooks, including making them accessible on the Sharepoint. They will also develop promotional safety videos based on risk assessments and assist staff with Emergency Response Team activities like training and fire drills.
