Job Overview The Student Intern (Part Time) Organizational Development is responsible for the matriculation and successful completion of district internship program(s). The Student Intern (Part Time) Organizational Development is responsible for implementation of the mission and vision of the assigned department in and through the assigned projects utilizing real world practices, evolving skill sets, attitudes, and behaviors. The incumbent will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful execution and completion of the project(s) while meeting compliance requirements of the district, local, state, and federal policies. The student intern will work 19 hours per week. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborative Community Collaborate with assigned mentor and other stakeholders to complete project tasks in a timely manner Work in a self-contained, team, and department setting at the assigned district location to carry out the department functions Support and participate in department activities including meetings Participate in the end-of-year internship program summary activity Self Management Adhere to district confidentiality policies Request assistance when needed in order to ensure tasks are completed with fidelity Maintain a positive and professional decorum Adhere to district and department employee policies and procedures Complete the internship summary document within the allotted time frame Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above essential duties satisfactorily. Fort Bend ISD high school student OR former Fort Bend ISD student currently enrolled in an institution of higher education Possess a moral and ethical compass Ability to follow policies and procedures Working knowledge of technology and software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employers, peers, and community members as required by department Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Ability to adhere to specific department policies and procedures Physical Requirements/Working Conditions The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
