POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Supervisor is responsible for the general ground maintenance. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Cuts and trims grass, including weed eater duties. Lines ball fields. Weeds flower beds. Picks up garbage. Conducts ground maintenance. Completes boulevard tree maintenance, including planting, chipping, etc. Conducts playground equipment maintenance. Completes janitorial duties, including cleaning and stocking washroom buildings. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Skills & Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English Must be highly motivated and able to work well in a team environment Must be able to work with minimal supervision Superior customer service skills and ability to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner. Must be able to operate riding lawnmowers and paint striper for ball fields.
