*Please Note:  Priority consideration will be given to students with a Federal Work Study award.   Job Requirements: All SLAs have the following responsibilities: • Assist with projects, including the planning of workshops, conferences, events, programs, etc. • Support the day-to-day activities of Student Activities and the Student Center, including but not limited to answering phones, opening and closing the building, copying, distributing forms and contracts to student clubs, data entry, and greeting visitors • Serve as a resource to individuals and student clubs and connect them with TC3 resources • Act as point of contact for programs and activities by facilitating sign-ins, tracking Panther Passports and assisting performers/presenters as needed • Participate in training and development workshops and attend mandatory weekly staff meetings • Be available to work during the day, evening, late nights and occasionally on weekends • Work up to 15 hours per week, with most of the hours spent in the Student Center and the rest of the time at programs and activities • Applicants will need to be able to work two-hour shifts or longer to be considered for the position • Driver’s License, clean driving record and the ability to drive the TC3 Vans preferred • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite necessary • Working knowledge of Microsoft Publisher or Adobe Photoshop preferred SLAs are expected to: • Work as a team on projects and to follow through with ideas from conception to completion • Be reliable, flexible and able to follow work schedule • Pay attention to project timelines and deadlines • Serve as a role model and act in a professional manner • Demonstrate a capacity for planning ahead and project management • Be familiar with the services, structures, and systems of TC3 • Solve problems using creative and critical thinking skills • Take initiative and work independently • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills • Set a positive tone for interaction and demonstrate responsibility and respect for others’ rights, feelings, lifestyles, and diverse backgrounds • Encourage students to participate in campus activities • Maintain good academic and judicial standing with a minimum required GPA of 2.5 • Express enthusiasm and positive energy in a dynamic work environment • Ability to lift 25lbs and stand for long periods of time.     Job Description: A team of students will assist with the development and implementation of programs and services offered in the Student Center. Specific duties include creating new and unique programs that would engage students, setting up and breaking down events, promoting events through social media and other forms of marketing, recruiting volunteers, providing administrative assistance in the Student Activities office, and much more. This is a great position for detail-oriented students interested in working with people and events. Student Leadership Assistants will have the opportunity to expand their skills in the areas of customer service, public speaking, marketing, and program development.
