Consults and seeks out guidance from RN and/or other healthcare team members, as appropriate and when completing new or unfamiliar tasks or duties. Tasks include but are not limited to: Activities of Daily Living Answering patient call lights Assisting with simple procedures defined in the work area Taking and recording vital signs and weights Transporting patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens Assists in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment Obtains, records and/or accurately enters data into the EMR. Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient’s care. Verbally presents factual, concise, and timely information and/or patient care data to the RN, the healthcare team, patients and/or family members in a professional manner. Qualifications Education: Enrolled in a formal BSN or ADN nursing program to include completion of introductory clinical nursing course with clinical component. Team members within UPH-DM may remain in Student Nurse tech role for up to 6-months after passing the board and achieving RN license. License(s)/Certification(s): Must possess and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire. Experience: Completion of 1 RN clinical rotation Other: Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
