Description

ABOUT US

UCL is at an interesting point in its history. We have expanded rapidly, and the new strategic planning process is focussed on building on achievements and opportunities from growth while also addressing some of the challenges.
The UCL Strategic Plan 2022-2027 outlines a vision for a ‘futures focussed’ UCL education that is ambitious and distinctive. It prompts us to view UCL education and student experience through the lens of current and future students to ensure we are able to meet their needs and expectations. It also recognises that ‘the future’ is not a given. Instead, different futures are there to be influenced and shaped by UCL students, staff and graduates through our teaching and research.
One of the aims of the Strategic Plan is to bring together teaching, assessment and employability in order to support student futures and to that end, the new ‘UCL Higher Education Development & Support Institute’ (HEDS) has been established. HEDS brings together UCL Arena (UCL’s Centre for Research-based Education) and UCL Careers Service.
