JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical services, retail sales, and a passion for helping customers find the perfect eyewear solutions. As an Optician, you will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyewear needs, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a smooth experience from selection to fitting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in retail sales or retail management is preferred.
• Strong understanding of optical terminology and products is essential.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is a plus, with knowledge of lens fabrication processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye care is beneficial.
• A passion for sales and providing outstanding customer service is required.

  Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

• Assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their visual and lifestyle needs.
• Perform fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Utilize laboratory equipment to create and modify lenses as needed.
• Maintain an organized display of optical products, ensuring all merchandise is well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Educate customers on proper eyewear care and usage.
• Process orders accurately using optical software systems such as Epic.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology.
