DESCRIPTION

Key Job Elements:

• Lead assigned project(s) in manufacturing plant with one or more objectives of cost reduction, process efficiency improvement, product and/or process quality enhancement, accident prevention and safety improvement.
• Follow Lean and/or Six Sigma process to define, measure, analyze, improve and control problems as part of projects
• Develop methods and/or experiments to collect and analyze data that can support project success.
• Research and investigate latest technologies available in the field that can be the best fit for our manufacturing environment and the problem/project at hand.
• Summarize and present project summary in the form of a white paper and a presentation to manufacturing leadership team
• Work with production employee teams on three shifts to identify and develop continuous improvement ideas/projects that will drive operational excellence
• Observe Production processes and investigate and propose new or improved methods and systems that can become future projects
• Complete all other production assistance duties as assigned by supervisor

Required qualifications:

• Attending post-secondary schooling in any of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Computer.
• Ability to communicate and share ideas effectively
• Ability to show innovate approaches to designing solutions to problems.
