Description
Part-time (15-20h/week) · Copenhagen / Hybrid · Start ASAP Tembi is building the e-commerce intelligence platform of Europe. We collect and structure data from millions of webshops across multiple markets — at scale. To help us take our scraping engine to the next level, we’re now looking for a Student Python Developer with strong hands-on skills and real curiosity. This is not a “first Python course” role. We’re looking for someone who already codes a lot and wants to work on real production systems. What you’ll do Work hands-on with our Python-based scraping engine Improve robustness, performance, and data quality in large-scale scraping Build and refine spiders, parsers, and data pipelines Debug real-world edge cases (anti-bot behavior, site variations, failures) Propose better ways of doing things — technically and architecturally Collaborate closely with senior engineers and the CTO What we’re looking for (must-haves) Strong Python skills You’ve used Python for a few years and are beyond “good” Solid experience with multiple Python libraries and ecosystems Comfortable reading, understanding, and improving existing codebases Experience with scraping, crawling, parsing, or automation is a big plus You enjoy solving problems — not just following instructions Bonus (nice to have) Experience with scraping frameworks (e.g. Scrapy, Playwright, Selenium) Async programming, queues, or distributed systems Data processing, ETL, or large datasets Linux, Docker, or cloud environments Who you are Curious, proactive, and hungry to learn You suggest solutions instead of waiting to be told what to do You care about code quality, performance, and correctness You want responsibility and real impact You enjoy working closely with a small, ambitious team Practical details 15-20h per week Very flexible working setup We prefer you join us in the office when possible Start date: ASAP Interviews are held continuously Skill level matters more than formal education Hiring process Short initial conversation Home-take assignment focused on real Python skills Technical discussion & team fit interview Quick decision — we move fast Questions & applications Questions about the role can be sent directly to the CTO: 📧 jer@tembi.io If you love Python, enjoy solving hard problems, and want to work on systems that operate at real scale — we’d love to hear from you.
