Job Details Position Type: Per Diem Position Summary Provides clerical and technical support to the Radiology Department under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor or coordinating technologist Primary Duties Patient Care: Completes a comprehensive assessment on patients of all ages under the supervision of a Registered Technologist Obtains pertinent medical history from patient by observation or with oral communication under the supervision of a Registered Technologist Performs patient assessment to determine: Patient’s physical ability to undergo the imaging procedure as needed under the supervision of a Registered Technologist What patient care is needed during the procedure under the supervision of a Registered Technologist What modification of the procedure may be required by the age of the patient under the supervision of a Registered Technologist If there are contraindications to performing the procedure as ordered under the supervision of a Registered Technologist. Qualifications/Specifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Radiology Licensure/ Certification: BLS certification Experience: Twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Radiology Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Student Radiology Tech provides clerical and technical support to the Radiology Department under supervision. They complete patient assessments and obtain medical histories to ensure safe imaging procedures.
