We offer a competitive salary and a full comprehensive benefit package to full-time employees: POSITION: Student Records Manager DEPARTMENT: Finance and Administration REPORTS TO: Finance and Administration Director FLSA STATUS: Exempt Job Summary: This position is responsible for the effective and appropriate management of the Center’s records from their creation through to their eventual disposal. Leads the processes for student admissions and records. Duties: Ensures that legal obligations are met for the creation and retention of both paper and electronic records. Evaluates and provides leadership in matters pertaining to data and analysis. Maintains knowledge of policies, practices and procedures related to student records processing. Maintains records in student database. Ensures policies and procedures regarding student records are adhered to. Provides a systematic approach to the processing of students records in accordance with DOL, PRH and Center guidelines. Complies and validates data for Center and DOL reporting. Facilitates the development of an effective filing system. Devises and ensures the implementation of retention and disposal schedules. Oversees the management of electronic and paper-based information. Responds to internal and/or external information enquiries. Manages and monitors budget and resources. Participates in the admission process to contribute to the timely, efficient and effective processing of student admissions. Trains, supervises, and evaluates records staff. Enables appropriate access to student records within policy and procedures guidelines. Complies with all DOL guidelines, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures. Models, mentors and monitors appropriate career success standards. Conducts and documents quality assurance audits and self-evaluations to ensure program quality and integrity. Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices. Adheres to required property controls policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned within the individual’s scope and capabilities. Requirements Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Above average public speaking skills and experience in same, above average verbal and written skills, above average problem-solving skills and conflict resolution skills, computer literacy, ability to work some evening hours and periodic weekends, ability to travel periodically. Experience: Five (5) years job related experience in a Job Corps setting preferred. Previous supervisory experience and knowledge of student information systems software/database helpful. Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Job-related experience may substitute for the education requirements. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State Drivers’ License.
