What You’ll Do Lead recruitment efforts for the UPMC Schools of Nursing, with a special focus on the new Altoona campus. Engage with high schools, colleges, and community organizations to promote nursing education and meet enrollment goals. Coordinate and attend events such as open houses, college fairs, and info sessions. Manage applicant records and admissions documentation in compliance with School, State, and Federal regulations. Collaborate with school directors and marketing teams to develop outreach strategies and promotional materials. Support prospective students through the admissions process, including identifying resources for academic readiness. Responsibilities: Recruitment & Outreach Promote UPMC Schools of Nursing through high school visits, college fairs, open houses, and community events. Build and maintain relationships with schools, community leaders, and professional organizations to attract qualified applicants. Collaborate with Corporate Communications and HR teams to support strategic marketing initiatives. Admissions & Student Support Guide prospective students through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment. Review application materials for completeness and accuracy; coordinate collection of outstanding documents. Create applicant files for director review and extend offers to accepted students. Identify and connect students with academic resources or remedial support as needed. Engagement & Communication Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective students to provide program information and guidance. Partner with Assistant Directors and Directors across UPMC Schools of Nursing to maintain consistent communication with potential candidates. Prepare and present monthly recruitment reports; participate in meetings to enhance recruitment strategies. Process Improvement Identify challenges in recruitment or admissions processes and recommend solutions to improve outcomes and increase enrollment. Other Perform duties in alignment with UPMC’s system-wide competencies and behaviors. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Bachelor's degree required in communication, marketing, public relations, human resources, or related field and 2 years of relevant recent work experience required OR: HS diploma/GED and 3 years recruitment-specific experience Computer literacy in database management, spreadsheet, and word processing Knowledge of recruitment and admissions regulations Demonstrated leadership skills Experience with applicant tracking or HRIS systems preferred. Experience designing and implementing models to find prospective students preferred.
